Oscar award winner Sukhwinder Singh performs at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai

October 9, 2012: Oscar (Academy) award winner Sukhwinder Singh rendered devotional songs at The Yoga Institute, Shri Yogendra Marg, Prabhat Colony, next to Santacruz station. Sukhwinder Singh brought along several famous musicians with his orchestra to the oldest organized Yoga centre in the world and performed as a tribute to the Yogendra family. More than 1,000 devotees and fans gathered at the Institute on the occasion as Sukhwinder performed for non-stop for three hours. 



World renowned performer Sukhwinder Singh said, “Being a student of the Yoga Institute, Santacruz, I am happy to perform here for all the Yoga practitioners and pay a special tribute to late Dr. Patanjali and Yogendra family. The Yoga Institute is so pious and peaceful that it provided the ideal settings for rendering devotional songs. I’m happy that the audiences also joined in with me in hymns and devotional songs in honour of the Almighty.”

Hansaji Jayadeva Yogendra, Director, The Yoga Institute, Santacruz, said, “It was an engaging session to have a world famous singer like Sukhwinder Singh performing in the august premises of The Yoga Institute, Santacruz. It was a great tribute to my son who died in an accident in July 2012 and family by the noted singer and one that we shall remember for a long time.”

ICE Make Reports 21.31% jump in consolidated revenue for Q2 FY2025
