PC Jeweller bags the ‘Large - Plain Precious Metal Jewellery’ Award at 40th Indian Gems and Jewellery Awards

PC Jeweller has been awarded the top honours in the ‘Precious Metal Jewellery Plain’ category at the 40th Indian Gems and Jewellery Awards held in Mumbai. The award organized by The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and was judged by an eminent jury panel.

The honour was felicitated by Shri Kapil Sibal, the honourable Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Law and Justice, to Mr. Balram Garg, Managing Director of PC Jeweller Limited. The award recognizes the company’s excellent and meritorious performance in the segment of gems and jewellery export and was based on factors such as export performance, value additions, employment generation and investment on R&D among other parameters during the year 2012-2013.  


The eminent jury panel comprised of Smt. Nirupa Bhatt, Managing Director (India & ME), GIA, Shri. K. Subrahmanyan, Executive Director, Union Bank of India and Mr. Pawan Bindal, Director, Dun & Bradstreet. The selection process was based on a new methodology developed by D&B and was even more robust and rigorous than the previous years. The committee members had received 270 nominations this year, out of which only 31 winners were selected for the final awards.

Mr. Balram Garg, Managing Director, PCJ said, “We are delighted to receive this honour & we thank the Jury Members and GJEPC for this award and are motivated to continue this enthusiasm and dedication in our work.”
