Tata AIA Life introduces a series of insurance Apps for mobile devices

Five easy-to-use Smart Apps to help ‘do-it-yourself’ mobile device users identify their income protection gaps just with a touch

Mumbai, September 4, 2013: Tata AIA Life Insurance Company Limited (Tata AIA Life) has launched a series of easy-to-use insurance applications for the users of mobile devices. These smart Apps, available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, make income protection planning accessible anytime, anywhere.

All these five applications; i.e., Protection Gap calculator, Retirement Gap calculator, Child Need Planner calculator, Child ULIP plus Term Plan Combo calculator and ULIP Plus Term Plan Combo calculators are available for download for both Android and Apple mobile device users.

Commenting on the launch of the apps, Mukesh Dhawan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Distribution Officer, Tata AIA Life said, “The newly launched mobile apps reflect our operating principle of bringing the Right solution to the Right customers in the Right way. As a responsible insurer, helping people protect their income is a natural concern to us. These easy-to-use apps will make the process of buying insurance convenient for the ‘do-it-yourself’ customers and motivate them discover their income protection gap. As for our insurance sales advisors, these smart Apps will make the process of selling insurance easy for them and help increasing their productivity & income.”

Users can download these applications on their Android and iOS platform from the App stores available on their smart phone and tablets. The applications are designed to provide customized solutions by calculating customers’ income protection needs based on their current income and criteria, mapping it to expected inflation and their future financial needs.

The key features of the applications are as below:
Protection Gap Calculator
Provide customer on the ideal life insurance cover required to protect his family’s standard of living both pre & post retirement, after considering any outstanding loans and existing life Insurance cover
Child Need Planner calculator
This application assists customer to identify the gap in the financial requirements of their children’s education or marriage, while calculating the additional monthly savings required by the customer to achieve these financial goals.
Retirement Gap calculator
After putting in the requisite information, this calculator provides customer with the consistent monthly savings required to achieve the desired retirement income per month  and the required corpus at the time of retirement after considering the future inflation
ULIP Plus Term Plan Combo calculator
The combo tool will help secure future needs of the customer by bundling the two insurance products.  By answering a few simple questions, this combo calculator suggests you the monthly commitment required from you to fulfill your future long term financial goal / retirement planning goal as well as protecting your family’s standard of living
Child ULIP plus Term Plan Combo calculator
By answering a few simple questions, this combo calculator helps customer with two insurance products which are combined to offer an ideal insurance solution which will help protect the financial goal of the child as well family’s standard of living. Further this combo tool gives the idea on the regular monthly savings required after considering customers expectation of  future inflation and saving rate
