We have established contact with people in Uttarakhand who are helping people on the ground and our team in Mumbai is raising donations for the relief fund, which will be sent to Uttarakhand at the earliest to buy ration, clothes, blankets, utensils, tents nets, basic medicines, stoves and fuel etc. for these families.

Parwaaz Multifoundation team will be personally visiting Uttarakhand to assess the situation in villages and accordingly provide help to the local people so that the timely assistance reaches the affected families directly.

About Parwaaz Multifoundation

Parwaaz is a not-for-profit NGO, based in Thane, near Mumbai, Maharashtra. Parwaaz was founded on November 25, 2009, by a group of like-minded friends who wanted to contribute to humanity with the broad vision of `A GREEN FUTURE… A SAFE Future’

Parwaaz team consists of full-time self motivated working individuals who work on Public Holidays and Sundays with the resolve to encourage individuals to do at least their minimum for the environment and society. Parwaaz operates under two broad areas-GREEN Future Projects and Humanitarian Projects. Under Green Future projects Parwaaz creates awareness and encourages the habit of saving environment at individuals level.

Under Humanitarian Mission of Saving Life and Serving Society, the Parwaaz team came up with an Idea and named it as “ROSHANDAAN- Taaki Lau Jalti Rahe” with the objective of keeping FLAME of social service burning bright. Under Humanitarian Mission Parwaaz has recently launched a new initiative “JEEVANDAAN” to help the people who are economically weak and need urgent financial support during times such as natural calamity, critical illnesses, etc…Parwaaz provides help to such people by collecting funds from its committed members, friends, colleagues, employers, neighbours’, etc…

Projects and Campaigns
On January 17, 2010 The Parwaaz team launched a public awareness campaign “Aao Bhavishya Bachayen”  to make people aware and encourage them to save water, energy and keep their surroundings neat & clean. The team organized a stage show on Green Future, which gave the young team a decent and encouraging beginning.

In addition to this, Parwaaz team also felt a need to make contributions for economically weaker sections of society, who often suffer because of unavailability of timely support. In June 2010 Parwaaz initiated “Shahapur Shikshan Abhiyaan” and supported students from underprivileged sections by donating books, pens, pencils and cash.

In July 2010 Pawaaz organized an art competition event “Chitrakala Spardha” for small children. The subject was “Environment” and children in the 5-14 age groups made paintings to teach environment to the world.

In 2011 and 2012 Prawaaz team took up several projects like Lokpal Awareness (initiative was taken to educate and make people aware of  the differences between Team Anna  & Govt bill), Tree Plantation, Ek Paaul Majya Udyanasathi, World Environment Day " Global Warming and Climate Change" awareness campaigns among others.

Future Plans
The buoyant response from supporters has encouraged Parwaaz to undertake more projects such as "Aao Bharat Banayen" and in the areas of health, free education and environment protection.  Parwaaz aims to become a pan-India NGO with committed band of volunteers who will spearhead environment-protection initiatives highlighting the critical need for protecting the environment. Parwaaz mission is to also support economically weaker sections of society, who often suffer because of unavailability of timely support. Parwaaz seeks to create a network and community of committed donors spread across the country who can alleviate the suffering of weaker sections by providing timely support. To help as many as is humanly possible and without discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, creed, race, gender, etc.
