Mumbai, 25th May, 2015: Sohan Lal Commodity Management (SLCM) bagged the award for Exemplary Position in Supply Chain & Logistics- Agri Warehousing at the CII Scale Awards 2015. The company was felicitated by Mr. S Ramesh,          Chief Commissioner – Customs, Govt. of India; Mr. Atulya Misra, Chairman – Chennai port Trust, Govt. of India & Mr. R Dinesh, Chairman – CII Logistics Advisory Council amidst a grand award ceremony held at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai on May 22, 2015.
Talking about the same, Mr. Sandeep Sabharwal – Group CEO, SLCM said “We are proud to receive the award which is a huge recognition for the work we have been doing all these years. It signifies our capability and is indeed a motivation to continue innovating and creating even more benchmarks in the coming years.”
The winners were selected after a long deliberation by the esteemed jury which included eminent people from various sectors with specialized knowledge. The award bestowed to SLCM recognizes its warehousing capabilities with excellence and has set a road map for other players in the market.
SLCM was a clear winner amongst several large & medium sized logistics & supply chain Groups along with several warehousing players which participated for the awards.  While almost all market players present in the sector focus on creating warehouse infrastructure, SLCM focuses only on Scientific Warehouse Management Processes. The award bestowed to SLCM recognizes the change the Group has brought to the industry & labelled as challengers to the other players in the industry. A detailed FICCI study stated that by using scientific warehousing processes of SLCM for managing agri logistics in existing structures can reduce storage losses from 10 per cent to a mere 0.5 per cent, translating into a saving of roughly 76,000 crores every year (Accredited by FICCI in their study ‘India-US collaboration in Agriculture’).
SLCM’s excellent warehousing capabilities has set a benchmark for the other players to follow.

ICE Make Reports 21.31% jump in consolidated revenue for Q2 FY2025
