Taurian World School students create biggest “Thank You” card ever in East India to celebrate Teachers’ Day

September 5, 2012

True to its tradition of being unique in approach, students of Taurian World School (TWS), the best boarding school in Jharkhand and among India’s top 30 boarding schools, celebrated Teachers’ Day today, September 6, 2012 by marking it as the Day of Gratitude to their teachers and said it by creating the biggest “Thank You” card ever prepared in the entire eastern region of the country.

Students of the School were distributed A5 size single sided cards of different hues and were told to pen down their words of gratitude for teachers. The cards were then stapled in a big white cloth adorning the shape of a giant card and displayed inside the School premise.

Commenting on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Mr Amith Bajla, Founder Chairman of the School said “I feel extremely happy by our students’ concept of creating the biggest card in Jharkhand. This day is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions made by teachers in shaping up the lives of students. Besides, gestures of this kind helps to further strengthen the teacher-student bond”.

Rajesh Chandra, a TWS student of Class XII, said “Today is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of education in our lives and all that our teachers taught and gave us. It is the teachers who nurture, inspire and support us. This, we wanted to do something memorable and finally came up with the idea of creating the biggest “Thank You” card for our teachers to express our deep gratitude for all that they have done to us”.
